Australian Woman, 26, Caught Up In Barcelona Terror Attack Has Cheated Death Three Times This Year After Narrowly Avoiding ISIS Attacks In London And France

A woman from Australia has cheated death three times this year after terrorist attacks occurred in three different cities while she was there.
Julia Monaco, 26, from Melbourne, was in a shopping mall with a friend yesterday when a van plowed into pedestrians in the Las Ramblas district of Barcelona.  The woman, who loves to travel and has been touring Europe for the past three months, was also there in London when a terrorist rammed into people on London Bridge before going on a knife rampage. At the time, she was put in a lockdown on the London Underground while out with friends.
Days after she escaped London attack, she was in Notre Dame in Paris when a police officer was stabbed outside the famous cathedral.
The Barcelona attack was her third brush with terrorism yet she's said that she won't let it
stop her from travelling the world.
"I don't feel like I want to go home," she told radio presenter Neil Mitchell on Friday morning. "I feel like I want to stay here and not let them – whoever they may be – win. I'm going to see what I came here to see."
Julia and her friends Alana Reader and Julia Rocca were in the store on Placa de Catalyuna when they saw people outside running for their lives. She told of how she watched terrified pedestrians banging on the windows of the store trying to get inside the locked store from the street.
"In a split second it all kind of changed and everyone just started running and panicking and running for their lives and crying and screaming and we were forced back into the store, told to get away from the windows and to get low on the ground," she said.
When they were finally allowed to leave the store, they had to walk back to their hostel and avoid the streets that had been closed by police. She said she's certain her mother will pressure her to return home but that will not stop her from traveling in the future.
